Working with the InDesign Plugin

The main view of the 4ALLPORTAL – InDesign plugin clearly displays the areas of Analysis, Settings, Timer, Link changes, and Log.

Chapter overview

1. Analysis

Provides the basic function of the plugin. 

2. Settings

You can adjust the settings here.

For the analysis of designated formats:

• InDesign documents (.indd)
• InDesign exchange format (.idml)

Settings for system behavior:

• Do not overwrite documents
  When the plugin repairs or refreshes lost links, your InDesign files will no longer be overwritten by the concluding saving option.
  
  Note: You can find more information on this setting under point 8 on the page “System Behavior – InDesign Plugin”.

3. Timer

The analysis of your InDesign files can be started automatically at any time set by you.

4. Link changes

You can manually change the file path of linked files of an InDesign document.

5. Log

If any problems arise, the warnings and messages can be found here. The log is discarded when you end the plugin session.

6. User/Logout/Help 

Displays the profile picture of the signed-in 4ALLPORTAL user.

Click on the profile picture to open the menu.You can log out of the session from the plugin on the 4ALLPORTAL or ask for help, which takes you to the 4ALLPORTAL documentation.
