InDesign documents must be closed before the analysis is started
After the analysis, InDesign documents will correspond to your InDesign version – bear compatibility in mind
There must be a network connection to the 4ALLPORTAL
Settings
Please make sure that the correct work directory is selected. The plugin can either analyze the whole root directory of the 4ALLPORTAL or a specific folder.
Computation
The plugin can be started directly from InDesign.
In the menu, choose “Window – Extensions – 4ALLPORTAL InDesign Plugin”.
Log in by entering your 4ALLPORTAL login details in the window that appears.
Start the analysis.
For every InDesign file in the selected directory, the 4ALLPORTAL InDesign plugin checks the content of the metadata field “InDesign plugin status”. It then computes all documents that have the status “Open”.
The possible statuses in the 4ALLPORTAL are:
Open
Completed – The document has been analyzed and computed
Open (due to open) – A file linked to the InDesign document has been moved in the DAM, or changes have been made to the document itself
Error – A problem has occurred. Check the log in the plugin and manually set the status of the field to Open in the 4ALLPORTAL for another attempt
You can see from the Progress display how many documents have already been analyzed and how many are yet to be processed. Click on the “Refresh” button to update the screen.
The computation can take some time depending on the size and number of the documents.
