Ideally, Import tagging will tag your files in the best possible way as soon as users upload data. Still, it can often be necessary to perform metadata tagging or edit metadata. The "Mass tagging" function can handle this job for you.

Tip 6: Use mass tagging to tag large volumes of files with metadata

If users do not perform metadata tagging when uploading data to the system, it will usually be difficult for other users to find that data. Mass tagging allows you to perform metadata tagging involving multiple metadata fields in a single operation, without needing to open, tag, and save each individual asset in the Detail view.

Another example is changing metadata. If a user accidentally uses the wrong keyword when uploading metadata, you can use mass tagging to simply change the metadata. You can control the changes made by the mass tagging process via the "Type of Change" function. You can determine whether you want to add or delete additional metadata.
