The Quick download  function allows you to quickly download individual files in the tile view of the “Files” module. Conversion into a chosen target format is supported by the indication of download profiles.

The availability of the Quick download function can vary from the product standard due to customer-specific customizations.

The availability of the download profiles is dependent on customized configurations and the convertibility of file types. With non-convertible file types, the selection of the download profiles is omitted and the download is carried out as “Original”. If there are restrictions on the user role for the “Original” download profile, it will automatically revert to a reserve profile, which is generally the first available option in the role’s download profile list.

1. Open the “Files” module and choose the “Tile view” option.
   
   
2. By clicking on the “Quick download” button on a file tile, you open the selection menu of available download profiles.
   
   
   
   Please note: With non-convertible file types or restrictions on the download profile, the download begins immediately. See message box above. 
   
   
   
3. By clicking on a download profile, you start the download of the file in a target format. The pop-up window is closed immediately.

4. Multiple downloads: By pressing and holding the Ctrl key (Windows PC) or Command key (Mac), you can download the file in multiple target formats by clicking on several download profiles. The download starts separately for each profile selection. The pop-up window remains open for as long as you hold down the key or end the process with the “Close” button. 

Product Standard

This feature is a component of the product standard and is delivered with the 4App “DAM – Digital Asset Management”.

Role configuration

The Quick download is always active in the standard setting for users of the roles. Download profiles are available similarly to the shopping cart.

At present, there are no feature permissions or presets with which the Quick download is configurable via the frontend.
